Knife of the Year 2026

Pre-order now: The limited edition Knife of the Year 2026

The Knife of the Year 2026 is our newest addition to our limited collector's line and exclusively designed. It will only be produced in the year 2026. Once again our knife combines masterful craftmanship with a clear and modern design language. It is not only for collectors, but also made for everyday use. Every piece is part tradition, as well as an expression of modern functionality.

Like every year the production of this particular knife will cease production at the end of the year. The pre-order phase has started and the design is presented as a detailed sketch. Collectors get advantages for pre-ordering: an exclusive reduced price and a free engraving of one's initials on the bronze inlay.

The Knife of the Year gets released every year anew - always recognizable as an authenic Kappeller Knife and yet an unique designer piece.

Total length: 224 mm

Steel: Böhler N690, brushed surface finish

Hand guard: recesses textured and patinated

Design and concept

Type: our classical "Jagdknicker" hunting knife - versatile use for hunting, everyday carry or as a elegant accessoire for your traditional "Tracht" attire.

Style: a harmony between alpine traditions and a clear, modern form.

Construction: full tang construction method - sturdy, well-balanced and easy to handle.

The hand guard made of bronze is precisely fitted and riveted. It features textured indentations that have been artfully patinated – a striking accent that lends the knife character.

Special Features

The first 20 pieces of the 2026 Annual Knife are equipped with milled and stained camel bone handle scales.  Each milling pattern is unique, making every knife an unmistakable one-of-a-kind piece.

All other knives in the series also feature camel bone scales, but without a milled pattern, in a polished finish that particularly emphasizes the material’s elegant appearance.

A bronze inlay adorns one side of the handle. It bears a hand-engraved serial number and can be etched with the owner’s initials upon request—discreetly, permanently, and stylishly integrated.

Surface: The blade captivates with a combination of a matte texture and a subtle sheen—special polishing techniques create a striking, unique finish.
