Reviewing EXPO 2025 in Osaka
Exhibition in Kyoto and Osaka
EXPO 2025 in Osaka was a monumental event—in its planning, its execution, and in the diversity it brought together from around the world.
The Austrian Pavilion served as a stage where our country could showcase its best qualities: openness, creativity, and a strong tradition of craftsmanship.
What particularly moved us:
In Japan, craftsmanship holds a status that is deeply rooted in the culture. Precision, an awareness of materials, and a love of detail—here, people understand what we do. And our knives and rings caused quite a stir there.
We are proud and grateful to have been part of this great international moment and part of the Meisterstrasse – Showcase for Craftsmanship – and to have made a small contribution through our craftsmanship to showcasing Austrian expertise beyond national borders.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this journey possible.
And to everyone who pauses when craftsmanship tells a story.
1st Exhibition at Machiya House, Kyoto – April 24, 2025
A house steeped in history meets craftsmanship with soul.
On April 24, we had the privilege of presenting our work at the Nishikawa Residence in Kyoto—an architectural masterpiece and a place of tranquility in the heart of the bustling city.
Between a tea ceremony and a Japanese garden, we demonstrated how Austrian craftsmanship blends with Japanese aesthetics. Our knives and rings—crafted specifically for the Expo—reflect exactly that: respect for the material, precision in the details, and timeless design.
A moment when cultures not only meet, but create something new together.
2nd Austrian Pavilion at the Expo – April 26, 2025
One evening, two cultures, a shared appreciation for authentic craftsmanship.
On April 26, we were part of the MEISTERSTRASSE evening event at the Austrian Pavilion in the heart of Expo 2025 in Osaka.
Together with other outstanding companies, we demonstrated what true craftsmanship is all about—live, in person, and tangible. Amid LOBMEYR crystals, BÖSENDORFER sounds, and Austrian wine, our knives and rings also took center stage—as an expression of living craftsmanship.
