The jubilee knife
A fusion of craftsmanship from the past 20 years
The jubilee knife is a fusion of craftmanship of the last 20 years. The project "jubilee knife" was made entirely in-house by me and my team, from creating the design using digital modelling software up until engraving, casting of the red gold and setting of the diamonds.
This project reflects the knowledge we have acquired over the past 20 years, combined with technical expertise. Our full-tang anniversary knife features a fitted handle made of stabilized mammoth bone with a total length of 235 mm. The blade is made from Böhler N690 steel, which is characterized by its high edge retention and good re-sharpenability.
The blade spine and the upper part of the knife were finished using fine grinding and glass bead blasting. This creates a contrast to the satin-finished blade surface, giving the knife an even more elegant appearance. The sculpted hand guard was crafted in the Art Deco style and—like the anniversary band—polished to a high gloss. The handle is wrapped by the anniversary band, where a natural “Fancy Brownish Yellowish Diamond” in a pear cut with 1.64 carats and a clarity of VVS1. This high-quality knife was crafted from a single piece and features a unique, diamond-set (4.36 carats) 14-karat rose gold inlay at the tip of the blade. This gold inlay was digitally modeled and produced from a rose gold casting. The red gold casting was hand-engraved, and each of the 270 diamonds, ranging in size from 1 to 2 mm, was individually set.
