Named Knife of the Year 2015 (categroy: fixed-blade knife) in Messermagazin, a premium magazine for knife enthusiasts from Germany, this excelling full integral piece improves upon the classic integral design. The tang has been extended to two ridges of the same piece, thus locking the handle securely in place while allowing for anti-slip grooves on both sides. The most difficult part of making an integral knife is attaching the handle, due to the fact that it must be worked to fit hardened steel. Far greater effort is required to produce seamless joints and a smooth finish - effort that is easily warranted by the aesthetic and practical value of the resultant product.
